Tree Technology

Tree Technology (TREE) is a Spanish R&D-performing SME that provides ICT-based solutions for different sectors and markets (e.g., healthcare, transport, public administration, banking and insurance) with the aim to provide their customers with advanced ICT solutions, helping them to optimise their processes and improve their business.

The R&D unit focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, integrating emerging technologies as part of the Smart Data ecosystem. In this context, Machine Learning and Analytics, Computer Vision, Cognitive Systems, or Visual Analytics occupy a relevant position among the company’s research lines.

Within the APRIL project, based on their expertise in Computer Vision and Machine Learning techniques, TREE is leading the development of a standardized perceptual system, connecting the low-level inputs provided by the platform sensors with high-level understanding of the environment required by the robots’ control system. TREE assumes the role of Technical Manager of APRIL, dealing with the monitoring and coordination of the technical work, and the early detection — and subsequent evaluation and mitigation — of potential risks and deviations.
