INCM’s mission is to develop, produce and supply products and services, with focus on security and authenticity features, essential for trust services (B2C, G2B, G2C), innovating and producing applications of high standards of security as a guarantee of their authenticity and trustworthiness. 

INCM is divided in three main manufacturing units (mint unit, security printing, assay unit) and owns three large manufacturing plants with large precision equipment, like presses, packaging machines, furnaces, lathe machines, laser and CNC engraving machines. This equipment is used to ensure the correct production, control, packaging and storage of the products. Allied to that is the importance of security on all of these processes. 

In APRIL, INCM will thus be one of the projects test beds. This use case has the objective of building a system for the dexterous manipulation of the Portuguese Electronic Passport and other passports produced by INCM, specifically for the process of quality control and data validation.
