Workshop on “The Role of Kinematics in Human-Robot Interaction” on October 29th, 17:00 CEST
Marco Controzzi from the Biorobotics Institute of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna has invited Professor Laila Craighero from the University of Ferrara to hold the workshop “The Role of Kinematics in Human-Robot Interaction” on Friday, October 29th, 2021 at 17:00 CEST.
Scope of the workshop
Prof. Craighero—who is also co-author of our recent publication in Science Robotics—will discuss the basic kinematic characteristics of biological movement and how these are affected by the intent of the agent. The possibility to collaborate successfully depends on the ability to decode intentions from movement kinematics. Prof. Craighero argues that actions performed by robots moving with non-biological kinematics are processed differently from the same actions performed by a human or a robot moving with biological kinematics.

How to participate
The workshop will be live streamed over Microsoft Teams and can be accessed through this link.
